Set inside one of the Opera House’s hidden spaces, end the day with a three-course dinner curated by one of Australia’s acclaimed female chefs, Danielle Alvarez.

Danielle Alvarez, Australia’s leading culinary voice, has prepared an unforgettable three-course dinner with matching wines. Polly Mackarel, Precinct Sommelier for Trippas White Group will be your host. They will also share their stories of resilience, creativity, and revolution in the food and wine industries.

Meet the chef
Danielle Alvarez, acclaimed Australian chef, draws her farm-to-table passion from a rich culinary lineage in the US and Australia. Raised in a food-loving Cuban-American family, she honed her skills at iconic establishments like The French Laundry and Chez Panisse. As the creative force behind Fred’s Australia, Danielle earned acclaim, holding 2 chef’s hats. In 2022, after six years at Fred’s helm, she became the Culinary Director for Events at the Sydney Opera House, crafting signature menus for prestigious venues. Danielle, author of Always Add Lemon and Recipes for a Lifetime of Beautiful Cooking, is also a columnist and co-host of The Good Food Kitchen.

The Sydney Opera House Car Park, operated by Wilson Parking, is open and available to use. Wilson Parking offer discounted parking if you book ahead. Please see the Wilson Parking website for details.

Frequently asked questions
The experience meeting point is at the The Lounge located in the Main Box Office Foyer on level 1 of the Opera House. Please enter via under the Monumental Steps.
Please arrive 15 minutes before your experience to allow sufficient time to proceed through security and to cloak any large bags.
In accordance with our venue security procedures, Opera House security will be scanning and checking bags under the Monumental Stairs, prior to entering the building. Bags will be scanned by an x-ray machine, and staff will wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling your belongings, such as gloves.
Where possible, please leave bags at home. If you bring a bag, those larger than A4 size will need to be cloaked. We're unable to store suitcases or large bags as we have limited cloaking facilities.

Only tickets purchased by authorised agencies should be considered reliable. If you purchase tickets from a non-authorised agency such as Ticketmaster Resale, Viagogo, Ticketbis, eBay, Gumtree, Tickets Australia or any other unauthorised seller, you risk that these tickets are fake, void or have previously been cancelled. You can make a booking for up to 6 people though our maximum capacity for the experience is 20 people. For capacity reasons the booking must be made with our Box Office by calling 1300 SOH TIX (1300 764 849). Our Box Office team will assist with your booking.
Yes, this is a limited capacity experience and you will need to book in advance online or via the phone where you’ll receive an eTicket. Please bring this with you and present it upon arrival.
