Expressions of interest for the Lower Concourse venues tender

A once-in-a-decade opportunity

The Sydney Opera House is a living work of art, a place of possibility and wonder. For half a century, artists, audiences and visitors have been coming here to be uplifted, empowered and entertained.

Today, it is one of the world’s busiest performing arts centres, the nation’s premier tourism destination and a World Heritage-listed masterpiece that belongs to the whole community. Dining has always been part of the cultural experience, and the precinct has become a dining destination in its own right

The Opera House is seeking expressions of interest from leading hospitality operators to run its harbourside venues, currently trading as Opera Bar and House Canteen, for a ten-year term. This tender represents a once-in-a decade opportunity to reimagine food and beverage services on the Lower Concourse, catering for both existing and new audiences while delivering on the ambition for the Opera House to be Everyone’s House.

Submission closing date and time is 30 October 2024 at 3pm AEDT.
