Cutting-edge dance music from Sydney’s club taste-makers

From their low-key beginnings in inner-city clubs and warehouse spaces, the parties staged by Sydney dance-music collective Picnic have earned a reputation for being among the wildest gatherings in town. Synonymous with cutting-edge dance acts and  avant-garde underground parties, Picnic have hosted artists including Peggy Gou, Young Marco, Underground Resistance, Moritz Von Oswald and KiNK, and taken their signature brand of club sound to the Sydney Opera House for their legendary Vivid LIVE Picnic Parties that fly out the door.

This year, Picnic are back in The Studio for another huge curated night, with revered techno and house producer Leon Vincent leading a lineup of Sydney’s hottest local DJs, including Picnic fave Kali and Club 77 party starters Barney Kato b2b Reenie. Sure to sell quickly; don’t miss another memorable one.

Levon Vincent

Berlin-based artist Levon Vincent has been a revered figure on the techno scene since his earliest releases in the mid 2000s, leading his hometown New York’s house renaissance before relocating to Europe and commanding major club nights at Fabric, Berghain and Robert Johnson. His full-length 2015 debut earned raves for its spacious techno and emotional sincerity, while his latest, 2022’s Silent Cities, saw him delving into hauntingly evocative soundscapes.
