sleepmakeswaves Love of Cartography 10th Anniversary Tour

Upon its original release in 2014, Love of Cartography marked a commercial peak in the band’s musical journey to date. Backed by a successful crowd-funding campaign, the record debuted in the ARIA Top 40 and was subsequently nominated for both an ARIA Award (Australia’s equivalent of the Grammys) and a J Award. The band toured the globe in support of the record, including a 55-date, 22-country trek which culminated in a packed house at Sydney’s Metro Theatre, recorded for triple j’s Live at the Wireless and later released as the Live at the Metro record. The thrilling uplift of tracks such as Something Like Avalanches, Great Northern and ‘traced in constellations’ reinvigorated critical appraisal of what post-rock genre tropes could be and have regularly been a staple in the band’s set lists. Now, the band will pay homage to a fan favourite by performing the album from start to finish in its entirety for the first time. It’s an opportunity to remember and celebrate one of the band’s most impactful contributions to the genre, performed at some of Australia’s finest venues.

LITE from Japan will make their first ever appearance in Australia, performing a 50 minute show drawing from across their catalogue. Known for their exciting and innovative blend of math rock, LITE has become a notable reference in the genre and their captivating live performances have become a must-see and an exciting addition to the line-up.

English group ROLO TOMASSI return to Australia for their first tour in 8 years, also performing a career spanning 50 minute set. Throughout their career they have been celebrated for their experimental sound, merging elements of hardcore punk, progressive rock, and heavy metal along with an electric stage presence.
