There’s nothing quite like a wedding at the Opera House with its iconic sails and Sydney Harbour as its backdrop. We're opening the doors to the Yallamundi Rooms on 22 February so you can experience what your dream wedding could look like.

Wedding Open Day is a free ticketed event and registrations are essential. A maximum of four (4) tickets per customer applies.

The Opera House’s Yallamundi Rooms are our hero venue space providing dramatic floor to ceiling glass windows streaming with natural light and unobstructed views of the stunning Sydney Harbour.
Flexible to suit your dream wedding, the Yallamundi Rooms offers both seated and cocktail style, all with direct access to the Northern Broadwalk and dedicated outdoor area.

As Culinary Director, Danielle has developed tailored menus for functions across our venues including weddings. The menus draw on her dedication to seasonality and the joy and connection of sharing food, as well as champion local producers.

Venue
The access to Yallamundi Rooms is via the Northern Broadwalk, so it’s simple to get to from either side of the Opera House and you can walk around the outside of the House to the very front where the entrance will be marked. View location map.
Getting here
The Sydney Opera House Car Park, operated by Wilson Parking, is open and available to use. Wilson Parking offer discounted parking if you book ahead. Please see the Wilson Parking website for details.
Please check the Transport NSW website for the latest advice and information on travel. You can catch public transport (bus, train, ferry) to Circular Quay and enjoy a six minute walk to the Opera House.

Booking a time slot is essential and must be made in advance of the open day.
Please contact Box Office on 1300 SOH TIX (1300 764 849) as soon as possible to advise if you can no longer attend.
You can book a time slot for up to four people.
Yes, you can take photos and videos. You will be advised by Opera House staff where filming is not permitted.
Love under the sails
Under the Sails: Andy and Don
Andy and Don met in a bar in their early twenties. 25 years later they arrived at the Opera House by water taxi surprising their guests, to be married at sunset, framed by the sails and sweeping harbour views.
Under the Sails: Christopher & Rajini
Meet Christopher and Rajini. From an observatory meet cute, to a gorgeous multicultural ceremony, the happy couple chose the Yallamundi Rooms to celebrate, surrounded by family, friends and views of the spectacular Sydney Harbour.
Under the Sails: Roz and Electra
Roz and Electra met through work in 2015 and seven years later they were married under the sails as one of the first female couples to be married at the Opera House, in a bold and beautiful ceremony in the Joan Sutherland Theatre Northern Foyer (JSTNF).
