It is not every day that an emerging talent of this magnitude comes to the attention of Sydney audiences. The Sydney International Piano Competition Rex Hobcroft People’s Choice Award winner 2023, Korkmaz Can Sağlam blew audiences away with his dynamic recitals at the Sydney International Piano Competition in 2023.
Korkmaz Can has already appeared on concert stages in New York, Cleveland, Sydney, Salzburg, Brussels, Nice and Ankara in his native Türkiye. After studying with Antonio Pompa-Baldi and Sergei Babayan at the Cleveland Institute of Music, he received his Bachelor’s degree from The Juilliard School.
In addition to his recital appearances, Korkmaz Can has made his first studio album, to be released in 2024, and is simultaneously pursuing graduate studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music under the direction of Sergei Babayan.
