As part of our mission to become Everyone’s House, we are determined to ensure our programmed performances and workshops offer something for everyone. We provide a variety of opportunities for people living with disability to experience the joy of creativity.
The Kids Sensory Music Café enables parents with children that live with a disability to introduce them to the wonder and joy of music. Specially created and tailored to their needs, the program promotes creativity, connection and play in an accessible way.

Families with children who live with a disability face unique barriers in our world. Providing a space for them to experience creativity and the joy of performance is central to our mission. Renee and her children, Lara and Austin, have attended our Kids Sensory Music Café since it began 18 months ago.
By donating today you can ensure the Opera House is truly Everyone’s House.
What we can achieve with your support
$30 enables a child with a disability to attend a sensory performance.
$50 gives a student with a disability the chance to dance in a class led by Sydney Opera House artists.
$100 provides a person who is blind the opportunity to experience an audio description of the Vivid LIVE Lighting of the Sails.
$250 gives a small community group the chance to take a private dedicated tour of the Opera House.
$500 enables a group of people living with a disability to travel onsite to attend a workshop.
$1000 supports a deaf audience by having an Auslan Interpreter to translate for a performance or concert.
$2500 ensures Opera House staff continue to be trained in providing appropriate support for our community.
