Arts Assist St Mary’s Public School
Due to financial barriers, not all school children have the chance to experience the magic of live performance. Thankfully, with support from our donors, our Arts Assist program provides disadvantaged and remote schools the chance to participate in our life-changing creative learning programs for free.

Students at St Mary’s in Western Sydney erupted with joy when they were told they were about to head off on an excursion to see the iconic Opera House.
St Mary’s has a special history with the Opera House. Thanks to the support of our community towards Arts Assist, their students have been granted the invaluable opportunity to experience live performance. These experiences are more than entertainment; they are curated to enrich learning, ignite inspiration, and unveil the boundless potential within each student.
In 2023, over 440,000 children and families participated in our learning programs onsite and online. By supporting the Opera House, you can help more children overcome disadvantage, changing their lives and improving their education through the power of creativity.
What we can achieve with your support
$30 provides a disadvantaged school student with a guided tour of the Opera House, where they will learn about architecture and engineering.
$50 gives a disadvantaged student the chance to be thrilled by a performance at the Opera House. For most of them, it’s their very first time.
$100 enables a student to attend a tour, view a performance, and participate in a workshop at the Opera House’s Centre for Creativity.
$500 brings the Opera House’s unique, curriculum-aligned workshops to a regional classroom through our digital learning program.
$1000 allows a small group of disadvantaged students to experience the Opera House, including a performance, tour and workshop, guided by a creative learning producer.
$2500 provides an entire class with the full Opera House experience including a performance, tour, workshop and transport costs, guided by a creative learning producer.
