Hayao Miyazaki's directorial debut

Japan | 1979 | Japanese with English subtitles | Family/Adventure | PG

Based on the 1960s manga, Lupin III is the feature directorial debut by Studio Ghibli co-founder Hayao Miyazaki. Showcasing early flourishes of his renowned signature style, Lupin III has grown in stature over the decades to become a much-loved cult classic from the master of animation.

In the twilight of his career, master thief Lupin the Third's latest and greatest caper has hit a snag. What should've been a huge cash haul from a national casino turns out to be counterfeit. Together with his partner-in-crime Jigen, Lupin heads to the remote European nation of Cagliostro to exact revenge.
