LAUFEY RETURNS TO AUSTRALIA FOR BEWITCHED: THE GODDESS TOUR – SEPTEMBER 2024
Grammy Award-winning Icelandic-Chinese artist Laufey brings her Bewitched: The Goddess Tour to Australia for a series of East Coast headline shows this September.
A composer, singer, producer and multi-instrumentalist, Laufey has catapulted onto the global stage in a few short years. Releasing her debut album Everything I Know About Love in 2022, fans quickly fell in love with Laufey.
2023 was Laufey’s most ground-breaking year yet, releasing her third album Bewitched, and claiming a Grammy Award for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album. The album sparked an immediately sold-out tour and set a record for the biggest debut week by a Jazz album on Spotify, as well as reaching No.1 on Billboard’s Jazz Chart.
Laufey performed a stunning rendition of her song ‘From The Start’ on Jimmy Kimmel Live earlier this year, and closer to home, made an appearance in triple j’s Hottest 200, ‘From The Start’ claiming No.121. Well and truly coming in to her own as a performer, writer and instrumentalist, Laufey aims to bring jazz and classical music to her generation in avenues not previously explored by the genre.
Currently touring the Bewitched album across multiple sold out dates in the US and Asia, Laufey is a phenomenal live act. Performing alongside orchestras is where she feels at home and a Laufey show makes you feel the same. An exceptional talent, known best for her ability to command a crowd, Laufey is changing the way her generation engage with classical music, combining modern love with the nostalgic sounds of 50’s jazz.
Selling out all shows on her last visit to Australia, and adding additional dates to satisfy demand, Laufey’s global popularity is bigger than ever! Returning this time with a Grammy-winning album and plenty of new memories to make with her fans down under, don’t miss these incredible live shows as Laufey takes to the stage across the country this September.
