In this adrenaline-fueled explosion of extreme urban sports, dance, music and theatre, the Netherlands' ISH Dance Collective create a breathtaking spectacle of raw skill and artistry. Making its highly anticipated Australian debut, this season, exclusive to Sydney has a strictly limited run of just five performances.

Meet the performers
Former World Champion Sven Boekhorst started skating in the early 1990s in Den Bosch, Netherlands. In 2000 he won every contest, which includes winning the Triple Crown (winning X-Games, Gravity Games and World Championships). In his years as a professional skater, he also had a character in a videogame: Aggressive Inline and performed three weeks in a big theatre show on Broadway, NYC. After all the experiences from skating as a professional, Sven decided to take his career to the next level by starting SB Events. SB Events is a company that provides professional skating shows for different kind of events, adjustable to every situation.

Jelle Briggeman is a driven athlete known for his high jumps. He has won impressive titles at several (inter)national competitions such as FISE and Winterclash, this makes him no stranger to the Inline Skate world. In 2015 Jelle was scouted by ISH during the Dutch television program The Freestyle Games, where he made it to the final three.

Denden Karadeniz, a Kurdish dancer, teacher and choreographer, began his career as a breakdancer and honed his skills at international dance venues in Los Angeles and Australia. His unique artistic vision combines breakdance with contemporary dance, resulting in innovative stage performances. Denden has showcased his dance skills in high-profile events such as The Ultimate Dance Battle, So You Think You Can Dance and Time to Dance. His artistic flair can also be seen in collaborations with various dance companies in renowned theaters. In 2022, he received the Young Amsterdam Award for excellence in the art of dance.

Siebe is a real urban parkour guy. He dares to push his limits and steps over all his fears. He is addicted to the freedom, speed and adrenaline of the sport. At the age of eighteen he became Dutch freerunner Champion and has now become Dutch Speed Champion six times. In the last few years Siebe had the opportunity to do many great collaborations with companies such as Sony, InterSport, Mentos, etc.

Bart’s unique approach to Parkour has earned him the world championship title in 2016. With a combination of powerful, creative and fluid movement Bart has entertained and inspired many practitioners all over the world. For the past 10 years Bart has managed to stay on top of his game within the parkour community, solidifying his name as a true legend. Bart sees himself more as an artist rather than a professional Athlete. He joined ISH Dance Collective in 2015 and has been reliable for delivering explosive action on stage.

Pim started skating in high school at the age of 13. Very quickly soccer was traded in for skateboarding and the skate life began. After winning several awards and a 3rd place at the NK mini ramp in 2016 he ended up at ISH Dance Collective.

Dez became obsessed with BMX Flatland, the art of doing tricks on the BMX without using obstacle, at a young age. He has fallen in love with the sport and the lifestyle that comes with it. For more than a decade Dez has claimed his spot in the world top of the BMX Flatland sport and in the entertainment business, performing and competing around the world at the highest level. He won multiple international competitions and performed at Eurovision Song Festival for millions of live viewers.

Michael van Beek also known as Michael Evolution is a world-class basketball freestyle juggler that amazed millions of people in his career so far. With 20+ years of live stage experience, Michael has earned his marks in the performing art industry. He became the 1st basketball freestyle juggler that brought excitement into the world of theatre, variety & circus with his artistic creativity, showmanship and captivating skillset. His successful career has brought his performances to prominent entertainment companies such as Cirque Du Soleil, Teatro ZinZanni, GOP Variety, UniverSoul Circus, URBANATIX, Wintergarten Berlin, CIRCUS AFRIKA! AFRIKA!, Krystallpalast Variety and many more.

You could describe Vera as a musical omnivore. Although trained as a classical violinist, curiosity led her to explore a variety of styles and instruments. She writes music for her electric string trio West Side Trio and her acoustic string quartet Quartet Quinetique and tours the Dutch theatres with singer Flip Noorman. You will often hear her improvising, singing, and playing double bass, viola or musical saw during shows. She worked with numerous artists: arranging, writing and playing music for films, albums, commercials and live shows with solo-artists or bands as well as theatre and dance companies.

Cellist Annie Tångberg is a versatile musician with a contemporary touch. She performed in several editions of the internationally renowned Amsterdamse Cellobiennale and toured with different groups to festivals all over Europe, as well as traveling to the USA, Middle East, Brazil, China and Suriname. Originally from Oslo, Norway, Annie moved to the Netherlands where she completed a masters degree in chamber music at the Royal Conservatory in the Hague. Besides her position as a player in the Metropole Orchestra she collaborates with different groups and people like The West Side Trio, Metropole Orkest Cellos, vocal group Vox Sturnus and ISH Dance Collective.

Dietrich Pott, also known as Bboy Dietje, dances at the highest level in the international battlescene. Red Bull BC One, Juste Deboute, Notorious IBE-Dietje was there! B-Boy Dietrich ‘Dietje’ Pott belongs to the absolute top. He earned his spurs in battle scenes in theatre. His power moves and talent contributed to breakdance becoming an art form in its own right. Dietrich Pott danced in several ISH shows such as FTBLL, Elements of Freestyle, Narnia, Ignite and Jungle Book. As one of the founders of the Surinamese hip-hop/breakdance group Myztikalz, he won the battle of the Year Caricom in 2009. Five years ago, Pott took his first steps as a creator. A clear handwriting is visible in his work, strongly linked to his explosive and spectacular breakstyle and his Surinamese roots.

Venue information
Our foyers will be open 90 minutes pre-show for Concert Hall and Joan Sutherland Theatre performances, and two hours pre-show for Western Foyer venue performances. Refreshments will be available for purchase from our theatre bars.
All Sydney Opera House foyers are pram accessible, with lifts to the main and western foyers. The public lift to all foyers is accessible from the corridor near the escalators on the Lower Concourse and also in the Western Foyer via the corridor on the Ground Level (at the top of the escalators). Pram parking will be available outside the theatres in the Western Foyer.
Getting here
The Sydney Opera House Car Park, operated by Wilson Parking, is open and available to use. Wilson Parking offer discounted parking if you book ahead. Please see the Wilson Parking website for details.
Please check the Transport NSW website for the latest advice and information on travel. You can catch public transport (bus, train, ferry) to Circular Quay and enjoy a six minute walk to the Opera House.
Frequently asked questions
Ticket purchases and collection at our Box Office is discouraged and eTicket or postal delivery methods should be used, wherever possible. However, if you are collecting your tickets from the Box Office, we recommend doing this at least 60 minutes before the event starts. If you have already received your tickets, the venue doors will be open 45 minutes pre-show for Joan Sutherland Theatre performances, and 30 minutes pre-show for Western Foyer venue performances. Please take your seats as soon as you arrive.
If you are late, we will seat you as soon as we can and, where possible, in your allocated seat. However, to reduce movement in the venue as well as minimise disruption to the performance and other patrons, ticketholders may be seated in an allocated latecomer’s seat. Please be aware that some events have lock-out periods. In these cases, latecomers will be admitted at a suitable break in the performance. On occasions, this may not be until the interval, or at all where there is no interval.

In accordance with our venue security procedures, Opera House security will be scanning and checking bags under the Monumental Stairs, prior to entering the building. Bags will be scanned by an x-ray machine, and staff will wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling your belongings, such as gloves. Cloaking facilities will be open 60 minutes pre-show for Concert Hall and Joan Sutherland Theatre performances, and 60 minutes pre-show for Western Foyer venue performances. However it is strongly encouraged that you travel lightly to minimise contact and queuing. Any bags larger than an A4 piece of paper will need to be checked into the Cloak Room.
