Useful information:
Undisputed Queen of Sydney rap, a genre-bending French-via-Atlanta DJ and one of the hottest producers in Sydney
Trackwork’s fifth birthday celebration is going to be something special. The influential Sydney label is set to showcase the hotly anticipated debut project from hip-hop queen Vv Pete, with the breakout Western Sydney rapper – on the verge of full-blown stardom – returning to Vivid LIVE to perform alongside producer and Trackwork founder UTILITY, plus the thrilling French DJ Brodinski.
Vv Pete
With her indelible fusion of precision hooks, ear-rattling club beats and global dance music, Sydney-based Sudanese rapper and singer Vv Pete is poised to become one of Australia’s breakout international stars. Drawing early comparisons to Missy Elliott and Lizzo, her 2022 debut single Bussin blew up worldwide, entering rotation on legendary New York hip-hop radio station Hot 97. She soon teamed up with Trackwork producer UTILITY for the ferocious Frauds and 2023’s Jersey-influenced smash Jordan 1s, for which she won FBi Radio’s Song of the Year. Ahead of her forthcoming debut album VARVIE WORLD and a showcase set at this year’s SXSW festival in Austin, Vv Pete recently dropped the dancefloor-ready single Wassa, which has already earned a huge co-sign from none other than SZA. After making her captivating Vivid LIVE debut last year, Vv Pete returns for her biggest – and most anticipated – show to date.
Brodinski
A guest collaborator on Vv Pete’s forthcoming single Go Dumb, French composer, producer and DJ Louis Rogé – aka Brodinski – is one of the hottest names in global electronic music and a co-founder of the eclectic record label Bromance. His genre-bending fusions of hip-hop and electro have seen him headline leading clubs and festivals around the world, and led to high-profile remixes and collaborations with artists including Kanye West, Danny Brown, Justice, Tiga, Sébastien Tellier and Empire of the Sun.
UTILITY
As UTILITY, Sydney-based composer, producer and Trackwork label founder Austin Benjamin has been instrumental in fostering, touring and curating some of most exciting local and international talent including Kelman Duran (Beyoncé's Renaissance), Mall Grab, Logic1000, Formation Boyz (South Africa), and Clementaum (Brazil). He has produced for artists including Jesswar, Gino October, and Lil Jaye & Eco$ystem’s Block Hotter, and on Trackwork releases by T Breezy, Sevy & Bayang, notfromhere and Snoee Badman. UTILITY serves as executive producer and creative director on Vv Pete’s VARVIE WORLD.
