jonatan leandoer96 is the long-running side project and alter-ego of Swedish rapper Yung Lean, who first began using the moniker on his 2016 mixtape Psychopath Ballads. Trading his more famous persona’s emo rap for piano ballads, diaristic songwriting, acoustic riffs and ambient soundscapes, jonatan leandoer96 moved from the indie rock of 2019’s Nectar to the full-tilt genre fusion of 2020’s Blodhundar & Lullabies. Last year saw Leandoer embrace his inner crooner on Sugar World, an eclectic pop collaboration with Frederik Valentin that Pitchfork called “less hypnagogic pop than classic Britpop.”
Frederik Valentin
Danish polymath Frederik Valentin started out opening for Green Day and Bloodhound Gang as a member of edgelord butt-rockers Rock Hard Power Spray, before taking a turn toward the experimental side of electronic, ambient and acoustic music. He formed the duo Kyo with Posh Isolation's Hannes Norrvide, and has released four acclaimed albums with labelmate Loke Rahbek (aka Croatian Amor): Buy Corals Online (2017), Elephant (2020), Together (2022) and The Friend's Place (2023).
Ecco2K
Swedish-British artist Zak Arogundade Gaterud, better known as Ecco2K, is a multi-talented rapper, producer, visual artist and designer who broke out with Drain Gang, the influential Swedish hip-hop, hyperpop and fashion collective he co-founded with Bladee, Thaiboy Digital and Whitearmor in 2013. His 2019 solo debut E was followed by 2021’s PXE and 2022’s Crest, a collaboration with Bladee.
Scandinavian Star
The solo project of Danish artist and Lust For Youth musician Malthe Fischer, Scandinavian Star has generated buzz in the underground music community with his icy synths, elegiac choral pads, booming basslines and ambient soundscapes. Performing as part of the synth-pop and post-punk group Lust For Youth, Fischer appeared at last year’s Posh Isolation show for Vivid LIVE.
oqbqbo
oqbqbo is the moniker of Copenhagen based, Russian born artist Nastya Sipulina, an electronic musician whose ambient synths and tangled rhythms have energised the Copenhagen club scene. She frequently releases on Posh Isolation, collaborates and performs with her partner Malthe Fischer, aka Scandinavian Star, creating the kind of buoyant dance music that both playfully nods to Euro dance and draws on contemporary club sounds.
Aya Gloomy
Tokyo-born producer, pop artist and fashion icon Aya Gloomy is one of Japan’s fastest-rising electronic music stars. She began making her distinctive brand of surreal, ethereal synth pop when she was just 16, and has since captivated fans – and the eyes of the fashion world – around the world.
3NDLES5
Channelling the chaos and beauty of the deep, dank Sydney underground, 3NDLES5 is the off-kilter electronic music project from Mitch Tolman, a former member of local post-punk legends Low Life. In 2023, 3NDLES5 curated the Posh isolation event for Vivid LIVE.

Our foyers will be open 90 minutes pre-show for Concert Hall and Joan Sutherland Theatre performances, and two hours pre-show for Western Foyer venue performances. Refreshments will be available for purchase from our theatre bars.
All Sydney Opera House foyers are pram accessible, with lifts to the main and western foyers. The public lift to all foyers is accessible from the corridor near the escalators on the Lower Concourse and also in the Western Foyer via the corridor on the Ground Level (at the top of the escalators). Pram parking will be available outside the theatres in the Western Foyer.
Getting here
Visitors and ticketholders are strongly encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra travel time and use public transport whenever possible when arriving for an event or performance. Large crowds are expected on the Opera House precinct and around the CBD, and road closures may be in place.

Frequently asked questions
Attending the Opera House during Vivid Sydney
The Lighting of the Sails during Vivid Sydney is a free event. You do not need a ticket to view the incredible animations by Julia Gutman on the Sails every night from 24 May – 15 June.
If you are attending a performance as part of the Vivid LIVE program, a valid ticket is required. It’s highly recommended that you purchase tickets in advance.
It is highly recommended to purchase tickets in advance, as tickets may not be available at the door.
In line with our venue security procedures, Opera House security will be scanning and checking bags on entry. Please travel lightly and do not bring items that require cloaking e.g. handbags bigger than A4-size, backpacks and umbrellas, which are not permitted inside our venues.

Yes, cloaking will remain available but it is strongly encouraged that you travel lightly and leave large, bulky items at home.

The Opera House Wilson car park will be open every evening during Vivid Sydney, however the car park is expected to reach capacity early and egress will likely be delayed due to long queues.
Entry and exit may be impacted by the temporary closure of Macquarie Street during the Vivid Sydney drone show, Love Is In The Air, on the 8, 9 and 15 June.
What can I eat and drink during Vivid LIVE?
Ticketholders are welcome to bring their own water bottle (as long as it isn’t made of glass) but no other food and drinks are permitted inside our venues. BYO alcohol is strictly prohibited from the Opera House.
The Opera House has a range of onsite bars and restaurants which are perfect for a quick snack or sit-down meal.
Food trucks will also be set up on the forecourt offering festival-goers a variety of snacks and small plates to dine on after dark. Vegan and vegetarian options will also be available. Open from 5pm every day of the festival.
