G2g

In the Utzon Room

Contemporary Music

Mixing the sound of classic post-punk with the infectious energy of Sydney’s inner-city DIY band scene, riotous rock n roll four-piece G2g make their highly anticipated Vivid LIVE debut.

Gloriously ragged, pep-charged post-punk tunes with a playful pop ingenuity and ramshackle charisma.

Useful information:

Playful post-punk from the dirty heart of the city

Emerging from the musically rich inter-city scene that produced the likes of LOW LIFE and Total Control, Sydney four-piece G2g, play infectiously ragged post-punk with unmistakable echoes of The Raincoats, Kleenex/LiLiput and the 60s girl-group side of the Ramones.

With their long-awaited 2024 debut album confirming G2g as one of the city’s rock n roll finest, the band is set to make its Sydney Opera House debut for Vivid LIVE, playing one night only in the Utzon Room.

Formed in 2018 by Georgia Wilkinson-Derums (Body Type), Angelica Waite and Greta Balog (Greta Now), G2g became a four-piece with the addition of drummer Daniel Stewart (Total Control), releasing 2024’s underground classics Pop Song and Anthem and their blisteringly confident debut album, The Gherkin

With their irresistible cocktail of guitar noise, off-kilter melody and whip-smart pop ingenuity, G2g are sure to put on one of Vivid LIVE’s greatest nights of old-school rock n roll charm.
